A grandson of immigrant coal miners, I was raised in the working middle class of northeastern Pennsylvania’s Wyoming Valley — specifically, the small town of Swoyersville.
By day, I am a marketing executive, ignoring my family’s advice to become a writer. A slow adopter of other people’s advice, I finally self-published my first novel — Dropping Stones — in the fall of 2014 at the age of 50. I followed that up with ‘Kingmaker’ in 2015 and ‘Qoheleth’ in 2016.
In addition to novels, I’d been filling my friends’ Facebook newsfeeds with extended observations on numerous topics and decided to give those existing and future observations a home here in this blog, instead.
